In Frostpunk: The Board Game, up to four players will take on the role of leaders of a small colony of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world that was hit by a severe ice age. Their duty is to effectively manage both its infrastructure and citizens. The core gameplay will be brutal, challenging, and complex, but easy to learn. The citizens won’t just be speechless pieces on the board. Society members will issue demands and react accordingly to the current mood, so every decision and action bears consequences.
The players will decide the fate of their people. Will you treat them like another resource? Are you going to be an inspiring builder, a fearless explorer, or a bright scientist? Is your rule going to be a sting of tyranny or an era of law and equality?

If you can stomach an hour of setup each time, the game itself is great. This is one of those sad cases where this really worked better as a video game. My wife and I planned a date night, sent the kids to the grandparents. But the entire evening went by in just setup, even though we watched the official video ahead of time. The second attempt went by faster but was still a slog, not much energy left for actually playing. All these wonderful mechanics are a breeze when a computer does the bean counting but painful when you have 12 boards in which to track all the different dials.
Are you a hardcore board gamer? You'll love this. Do you expect most of your board game time to be spent playing the game rather than on setup and bean counting? Give it a pass
So the game I bought is great but the real winner is Over the Brick. Super fast shipping, communication, and safe packaging. Having bought from some other game stores I can tell you that this experience isn't common. Will definitely buy from Over the Brick first from now on. Thanks!!
