We play MTG in the house so I'm familiar with play mats and ultra pro already, but to be perfectly honest I was looking for a large mouse pad and decided that this is the way to go. It's perfect for this, it rolls & folds easily. The color vibrancy isn't good for a background for digital scanning, but it's not like it was made for that so no worries there - it is a very appealing vibrancy to look at. The rubber backing on the back is fully functional. The top has a good texture. The edges don't fray. Probably a very different sort of review than most because I'm using it for off-label purposes, but a good review nonetheless.
