With Kolinsky sable brushes being harder and harder to import into the US, red sable is the next highest grade of natural brush hair. This material behaves as closely as possible to the Kolinsky, but is more easily imported. The performance of these brushes matches that of their Kolinsky counterparts at a far more approachable price point.

An overall soft bristle with good snap, these brushes hold paint well for glazing and layering techniques, and have a fine point ideal for picking out details and for freehand applications.

With regular maintenance (thorough rinsing between colors and regular application of a good brush soap and occasional conditioning) these high quality brushes will maintain their performance at a high level over a long time.
